Pickleball - Summer Drills and Skill Workshop
Most everyone agrees you cannot improve playing a game by just playing the game. If you are an experienced player and want to improve your skills, come to these workouts of repetitive drills. With minimal instruction and demonstration, the basic shots of the game will be repeated in drills focused on fundamentals, good technique and good results. The basic shots include serves, return-of-serves (drives), drop shots, dinks, volleys/blocks, overhead lobs and overhead smashes. Some drills will require players keeping score in game-like scenarios. At the end of each session, time will be given to play games applying what’s been drilled. PLEASE COME WITH AN EQUALLY SKILLED PARTNER. Wear good court shoes and weather-appropriate sport clothing. Eye protection is recommended but optional. Helpful resources will be e-mailed to registered students.
